Service Care Solutions currently have a fantastic new opportunity for a Band 2 to work within an NHS Inpatient Assessment and Treatment ward in Ipswich. •Do you know someone who would be interested in this role? We offer a £250 referral bonus per successful candidate that is referred Temporary pay rate: •Days £11ph •Nights & Saturdays: £14ph •Sundays & Bank Holiday: £17ph Hours and length of contract: •Full or Part Time Shifts: oEarly 6.45hrs-14.45hrs oLate 13.15 hrs- 21.15hrs oLong Day: 06:45 - 21:15hrs •The manager is looking for the position to be filled ASAP with an initial 3 months contract. Daily Duties: Working as part of the Acute Adult Inpatient Service you will support service users who are acutely mentally ill and also have additional communication and behavioural needs due to living with a learning disability. The ideal candidate will have skills in alternative communication methods e.g. Makaton You will work as part of the MDT and therefore good interpersonal skills, positive behavioural skills are essential as well as the ability to prevent and manage/deescalate aggression when required. Duties include but are not limited to: •Caring for service users physical, psychological, social, spiritual, cultural and recreational needs •Observing, reporting and recording any changes, which may indicate an alteration in the individual's wellbeing •Routine observations when required •Communicating with patients, relatives and carers IT skills are also essential as you will be expected to maintain patient records. Person specification: The applicant must be DBS cleared and have previous experience in the field.
