Overview
Senior Research Analyst Content Development Salary: £38,000 to £42,000 DoE Are you ready to take the lead in developing new business intelligence products for the legal market? Can you take a complex brief and work with stakeholders across a business to translate the brief into a deliverable product or service that will add significant value to clients? Can you scope associated research projects and define the deliverables? Can you point to the experience of running research projects from start to finish and developing insight products from the research? This role sits within the newly created Content Development team. The role will report to the Content Development Manager. The Senior Research Analyst will develop new content sets for Law Business Research and will be at the forefront of Law Business Research’s product development agenda. As such, the Senior Research Analyst must support the Content Development Manager in generating hypotheses about what content private practice law firms and corporate’s in-house counsel find valuable, validating this through client and competitor insight and then defining and delivering the content identified. The Senior Research Analyst will work with an offshore team to produce content. REQUIREMENTS What we are looking for: 3-5 years of experience of market research/business intelligence/data-driven analysis essential Demonstrable market research experience. Demonstrable numerical reasoning and statistical understanding. Demonstrably skilled with Excel. Able to merge unstructured datasets, knowledge of best practice data cleaning, adept at using formula’s, macros and generating impactful charts. Demonstratable experience of working with external providers and across multiple teams within the business to achieve delivery targets Databases – Ability to translate product requirements into database specifications and process documents - defining the scope of a database; identifying relevant data points and sources; overseeing data collection teams and processes - in order to build customer-facing insight databases covering market sizing, competitor intelligence, and client performance Surveys – exposure to scoping and building surveys, running fieldwork, extracting data and generating output (charts and reports). Reports – experience writing Insight reports supported by both quantitative and qualitative data. A curious mindset and a desire to engage across the business is crucial to excelling in the role. A can-do and proactive attitude, comfortable with providing recommendations on the way forward. Confident communication skills. Project management experience Prior experience of working in the legal market or support services to the legal sector an advantage.
