Overview
Buying Manager £40-46kDOE Mid Kent Fantastic opportunity to join an established FMCG business as the Buying Manager. You will be responsible for 2 direct reports but will be expected to oversee some of the work from other members of the team from time to time. This is a hands on role, involving a pro-active and positive Buying professional. Duties include: All round management of Buying strategy, working closely with the Directors Management of and delegation to the team Monitoring stock, reporting, analysis Transactional Buying duties Maintaining good working relationships with all suppliers Spotting and recommending ways to improve processes To be successful, you will be/have: A degree at 2:1 or 1:1 level Proven experience working as a Buyer in an FMCG manufacturing role A proven track record in controlling expenditure A detailed knowledge of capital expenditure and strategic sourcing Commercially astute, with the ability to analyse, find and present solutions. An excellent communicator with first rate interpersonal skills Advanced Excel and analysis skills This is a fantastic role with lots of responsibility, good benefits and a competitive salary.
