Overview

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer for a permanent position in Kent paying up to c£60k per annum depending on suitability to the below role. You must have good experience of the auditing and surveillance of client and contractor activities, ISO9001 Internal Auditor experience and the Quality Management experience in a Project or Programme environment within central corporate technical engineering/support functions. Ideally within the Nuclear Industry or another similar highly regulated environment. Working as the successful Quality Assurance Engineer you will provide positive leadership on quality matters within Site Project delivery teams and promote the adoption of best practice. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the quality management system and to make recommendations for improvement as appropriate. To ensure project activities comply with relevant procedures and QA requirements. The role requires a mechanical / process / construction background. Project in Scope will include various Mechanical / Process / Construction projects. Value of circa £50 million per annum, with individual projects range from £100,000's to £multi-million spend. Essential traits/experience: The candidate should have good leadership qualities, be highly motivated, well organised and capable of working within a closely-knit team. They need to be able to respond well to the demands of working in the nuclear sector. They need to be able to communicate, build relationships, be proactive and be part of a team It would be an advantage but not essential, if you have Certification as IRCA Auditor/Lead Auditor Competence, knowledge & experience gained from a specific engineering discipline preferably technical, qualified to HNC level or equivalent as a minimum. Demonstrable proficiency in Quality Management practices, methods and processes which should include experience of Regarding security clearance, you will either have or be capable of passing BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) which is the required level of screening for any individuals working with or on behalf of a government department.
