Medium sized organisation specialising in the support and care of adults with autism and aspergers syndrome and other challenging behaviours are currently recruiting for support workers in their flagship home in rural Horsham. The home has recently taken on more service users so thereforneed more support workers like you The organisation have been established in the Sussex area for a number of years and have gradually been adding services and assisting more young adults with learning disabilities. Known for their forward thinking mentality and service user focus there is an emphasis on training or development of staff. Head Office is based in Worthing and is a hub for training and development with senior management active in the advancement of support worker staff, plus a new pay grade system meaning that the more training completed the more you get paid Your job role will involve you working as a support worker in a 6 bedded service based in the rural Horsham area. You will be working in a service for adults with autism and challenging behaviour and your job will involve being very activity focused and attempting to develop and improve the lives and outlook of the service user. The home is the "flagship" home of the organisation so expect modern equipment and surroundings and a positive working environment for you. You will be working 1-1 with service users and giving them effective and meaningful support whilst continually developing your own personal skills and career as a support worker. As a support worker you must be open to all sorts of activities and pastimes Boating, mountain biking to name but a few Due to rural location of this service a car driver is essential but you are paid an extended salary to compensate for costs. Plus a number of bonuses and salary uplifts making your salary very attractive.
