Overview
This profitable international Engineering group operates through several key operating divisions and specialises in the design, planning and maintenance of some of the world`s most iconic infrastructure. Enjoying continued growth in recent years, the business has ambitious plans to capitalise on this success. As a result of an increasing number of large projects, the group is currently seeking an ambitious qualified accountant to undertake a new role as a Senior Project Accountant. Supporting the Project Director and supporting a key division, you will provide financial information, support, advice and governance to a key contract. Your brief incorporates: •Exercising appropriate governance & management of accounting systems & processes to safeguard financial position on contract •Ensure accounting systems accurately reflect revenue & costs to ensure optimum input in application process to client & cost control •Confirming accuracy of phasing & control of cash forecasting •Completion & ownership of contract balance sheet reconciliations •Monitoring costs to ensure full cost capture & accurate allocation against contracts •Confirming that revenue recognition complies with IFRS15 •Review & improvement of internal financial controls & business processes •Production of monthly financial information to Operating Unit & senior contract management •Supporting the preparation of quarterly forecasts & annual budgets As a qualified accountant with proven financial reporting, management accounting and long-term contract accounting experience, ideally gained within a project or contract based business environment, you will demonstrate knowledge of international accounting policies alongside strong Excel skills. The role demands a bright, enthusiastic individual capable of influencing senior stakeholders and adding value to the division. Excellent ongoing career development available across the group.
