Overview
Key supports adults and young people with disabilities and long-term conditions throughout Scotland. We believe that good support is essential for a good life and we work alongside each person we support, and their family, to help them live life to the full. Due to the ongoing growth and development of our personalised support services we currently have a number of job opportunities in the Newton Stewart area. As a Support Worker you will join a team providing individualised support to adults who have care and support needs including those with learning disabilities. Successful candidates must be enthusiastic, have a positive attitude and commitment to making a difference to the lives of the people we support. Access to a car would be an advantage but not a requirement for the post. Duties will include supporting people with personal care, maintaining their home and to develop and maintain full and active participation in their communities. A commitment to a person centred approach is essential. If you would like to get involved in support work but cannot commit to a contract because you have other commitments, then there are opportunities to join our register of relief workers. Applicants must be prepared and able to work flexibly as part of the team to meet the needs of the people who use our service. Supports will include work in the evenings, weekends, sleepovers and waking nights where required.
