Head of UX - Tech - Manchester City Centre - Up to £80,000 Pioneering tech businesses based in the heart of Manchester City Centre seeks seasoned UX Lead to take the reins and own their UX vision. Is that you? As the User Experience Lead you’ll have total ownership of the UX and design function for the business. You’ll lead the teach to deliver a stellar experience to their users across their digital products and platforms. As department lead, you’ll have the autonomy to devise and implement the UX strategy, so bring your ambition You will also inspire and mentor the UX team, deliver best practice training, and implement new and innovative ways of working that will lift the whole team. Utilizing your background of growing and developing both team and strategies, you’ll collaborate with stakeholders across the business to pioneer the next phase of this already incredibly successful team’s evolution. Pioneering tech brand with a genuinely exciting 24 months on the horizon Stunning city centre offices with some of Manchester’s best food and drink on your doorstep A flexible benefits package to suit your own specific circumstances Autonomy and scope to really make the role your own A relaxed, forward-thinking, digital-first culture The role will be diverse and in part shaped by your own experience and approach, but some of the main responsibilities you could expect are: Lead the UX team to produce a visually stunning, commercially savvy and user considerate experience across platforms Always understand and champion the voice of the customer Mentor the design team through the use of tactful feedback and leadership to support the growth and upskilling of the department Have the gravitas to communicate your strategy and the reasoning behind it to senior stakeholders to gain their buy in Work to develop a better understanding of the value of UX within the wider team, illustrating the long-term commercial benefits it can bring Leaning on the depth and breadth of your experience in the industry, you’ll be the go-to specialist for all things UX within the business Instil a user-centric design culture into the wider business Conduct design and product review sessions, analysing user feedback and behaviour to identify pain points and issues, but also successes and improvements In terms of your own experience, you will have: Substantial amount of tried and tested experience, within user experience and design, in a leadership position An outstanding portfolio of products and experiences under your belt, showcasing innovative designs and approaches Able to communicate with stakeholders of all levels and technical understanding Comfortable working across various teams to drive a business vision On the cutting edge of digital innovation and agile ways of working
