Specialist Software Engineer
Overview
As a Specialist Software Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Systems Competency Centre (ESCC) Application Development team you will be working on developing software, technical aspects and the through life support of Engineering software Your skills and qualifications as a Specialist Software Engineer: Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, maths, physics or IT Experience within Software Development Knowledge and experience of programming in at least one of C++, Java, Fortran Working experience in technical and engineering fields What we're looking for in you: You will be passionate about writing code and understand that being a professional Software Engineer is about so much more than writing code. Technology agnostic (we actively use or support many environments including Unix/Linux, Window, Fortran, C, C++, the latest Java technologies, C#, Oracle, Nastran). You will be proactive and willing to learn.
