About the Company: A market leading insurance company are looking to recruit a dynamic and ambitious Life Science / Med Tech Underwriter to join a successful team and further their already significant Technology Underwriting practise. About the Role: As a Life science / Medical Technology Underwriter your responsibilities will include: Establish and maintain strong broker relationships to produce a sales pipeline of new prospects. Provide excellent levels of service to the brokers, by responding rapidly to new business opportunities and win the business. Undertake defined broker development meetings to generate new business opportunities and highlight the benefits of the proposition. Work with Business Development Managers to identify volume opportunities. Support the Line Manager in the design and delivery of the offering for the Technology sector. Contribute to the development of a market leading product and the necessary evolution of that product in line with market needs. Support the regional sales plan, with the Regional Manager and Business Development Manager to achieve the new business target outlined in the plan. Create strong internal relationships and have a strong desire to influence the continual development of Science and Technology products and its underwriting team. Identify opportunities across the entire range of products, referring leads to relevant class new business underwriters. Provide regular updates to the regional manager and business development manager on key performance criteria for brokers. Work with team to identify and secure prospects and opportunities from the broker panel recording on the CRM system in accordance with the CRM Working Practices guide. Attend underwriting and regional meetings throughout the year. Key Skills/Experience Required: Extensive knowledge / experience of the Life Science / medical Technology sector. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Strong sales drive with the ability to establish and develop high-level business relationships. Professional Qualifications Required : Progression towards ACII would be an advantage, but not essential. Salary/Benefits Information: To attract the best exceptional bonus and benefits.
