Job Description To effectively manage a caseload of patients across the oncology and medical specialities, using specialist clinical reasoning to recommend best course of intervention, developing comprehensive treatment plans related to patient centred goals. This is a permanent full time role working 37.5hrs per week ? The salary being offered is competitive and will be dependent upon skills and experience. Principle Duties To provide thorough assessment and treatment of patient conditions across a variety of specialities in the inpatient and outpatient setting, and to seek a second opinion in circumstances when diagnosis may be unclear. To be the lead occupational therapist in the oncology setting, using highly specialist skills in the management of oncology patients. To provide highly specialised occupational therapy treatment using evidence based practice and to be able to work autonomously in the delivery of oncology OT assessment and interventions. To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own work. To maintain a high standard of professional and personal conduct, complying with the HCA code of conduct and the HCPC rules of professional conduct. Skills & Experience HCPC Registration Degree in Occupational Therapy Extensive experience in Oncology To have worked a band 7 level in an acute oncology setting
