Overview

The Restructuring Services team help businesses and their stakeholders, providing advice to business owners and directors whether in respect of business underperformance or at the early stages of distress all the way through to achieving the best outcome for creditors as part of an Administration or Liquidation process. Your role will be to support the National Restructuring Services team as part of the National Cashiering and Treasury Management team. Job Role : • Opening and closing case bank accounts • General bank account maintenance • Liaising with various banks when required • Monthly bank reconciliations • Processing invoice payments onto specialist Insolvency software, ensuring correct supporting documentation provided and issue appropriate payment for approval • Processing distributions and generating cheques • Checking for receipts • Banking cheque receipts and recording on Insolvency software • Processing electronic receipts onto the Insolvency software • Processing VAT journals/adjustments • Generating statutory R&P’s when required • Ensuring cashier diary tasks completed on time • Archiving files on closure • Assisting with any other reasonable cashiering requests when required • Promote estate accounting best practice with colleagues • Follow the firm’s Treasury Policy • Ensure the compliance of the Client Monies Rules Person Specification • Interpersonal skills; the ability to build client relationships with a foundation of trust and responsibility. • Analytical skills; the ability to think critically, research and solve problems. • Attention to detail and strong time-management skills. • Commitment to self-development & learning. • Affinity with our values; in particular, respect for individuals, diversity and integrity. • Show vision, strategic perspective and focus on the achievement of longer term goals. • Maintain control and stability under pressure whilst recognising the deadline or urgency to be dealt with. • Make confident and clear presentations. This is based on the new 2017 UCAS Tariff. • Grade B or above in GCSE English Language and Maths. Following a successful initial 12 months with the firm, we will fund for you to study towards the ACA or ACCA qualification. You will then receive a full study package to ensure that you successfully complete your professional qualification. This includes time off to study, attend college and complete online courses.
