Overview
Salary: £19K Hours: 30 hours (over 4) - various hours (including back-shift and alternate weekends) Adult/Elderly Care Location: Lanark - own transport essential Office Angels are looking for a Team Leader to join a residential care facility (specialising in care of the elderly) located in Lanark. Due to the nature of the role a full clean driving licence is essential. You must have the passion and drive to lead frontline staff to support individuals to achieve their personal outcomes and manage a small team of care staff; whilst supporting the Registered Care Manager with all necessary administration. The role is essentially for 30 hours per week over four days (covering alternate weekends). You will be willing to work with flexibility to meet the needs of the Charity and this may require being on call and working unsociable hours. The ideal candidate will: Have previous experience in a supervisory role within a care and support or similar environment (elderly/dementia/residential) Knowledge of relevant health and social care policies and legislation Experience of managing safe systems for the administration of medication Ability to lead, coordinate and manage the performance of a team of Care Assistants Knowledgeable in the Scottish Social Services Council code of Practice for Social Service Workers & Employers (desirable) What your day will look like: Setting up and monitoring the Quality Assurance framework Carrying out audits Assisting with the review and revision of policies and procedures on an annual basis or in line with legislative changes Ensuring records are maintained in line with regulatory requirements Delivering care and support plans and reviewing these on a regular basis Ensuring the personal needs of the residents are being met at all times Responsible for overseeing the monthly ordering of medication ensuring adequate stock is always readily available Skills: Experience of supporting people in a way that promotes independence, choice, dignity and privacy Excellent communication - both written and verbal Exceptional people management skills Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word Positive attitude and an ability to think on your feet Excellent planning skills with a focus on attention to detail This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop a successful career within the care industry.
