Social Worker - Learning Disabilities - Gloucestershire - £31 per hour We are looking for an experienced social worker to work in a learning disabilities team in Gloucestershire. Successful candidates must be local to Gloucestershire and have previous learning disabilities experience. This is a great opportunity to work within a locally award winning Learning Disability Team. Gloucestershire County Council Adult Social Care is on an exciting innovation journey, working towards a three conversation model; which re-emphasises a focus on people, their strengths and the networks and community around them. We are looking for an agency social worker, who role models these behaviours and who is competent and knowledgeable in all areas of Adult Social Care practice. This includes a sound and evidenced understanding of the legislative frameworks and an individual who has evidenced continued professional development, to ensure their practice quality is constantly evolving. Benefits as a Learning Disabilities Social Worker: Long term contract Training provided Supportive management team Responsibilities as a Learning Disabilities Social Worker: Manage caseloads involving vulnerable service users and/or those with complex problems, taking action where necessary to protect the users and others in emergency situations; and to manage this workload independently, seeking support and suggesting solutions for workload and demand management difficulties In line with the Care Act 2014 and other relevant legislation, undertake timely and appropriate assessments of individuals social care needs in collaboration with health and other relevant agencies, taking into consideration the wishes of the individuals and carers Maintain an effective system for co-ordinating, monitoring and reviewing care plans and service standards.
