VAT Accountant
Overview
A newly created VAT Accountant role for a leading FMCG business in Chester. Your new company A leading global FMCG business in Chester. Your new role A newly created VAT Accountant role, reporting to the Head of Tax and part of a Tax team of 8. You will be responsible for delivering VAT reporting and compliance for a number of European businesses. You will also provide VAT guidance and advise and resolve queries where needed. This will include monthly, quarterly and annual VAT returns and other indirect tax returns such as Intrastat. You will also support the development of improved technology across the tax team and work to continually improve and standardise processes and controls. The role will involve dealing with both internal and external stakeholders. What you'll need to succeed You will have at least 2 years experience of dealing with VAT in a large and ideally international business. This could have been on a specialist VAT role or a wider Tax or Financial Accounting role. You will have experience of ERP systems such as SAP or ORACLE and be highly IT literate. You will also be used to working to deadlines and managing complex priorities.
