Overview

The role is client-focused; you would provide timely and accurate delivery of tax services on behalf of a portfolio of personal clients, ensuring that all receive a first-class service, at all times. You will be expected to build and maintain effective relationships, with the intention of making you an indispensable resource for our client's tax compliance affairs. Client Details The successful Private Client Tax Manager will be joining a reputable Accountancy Practice based in Chester who is a market leader in Private Client Tax issues in the area. Description The Private Client Tax Manager's job responsibilities will include; To ensure that the client's tax affairs comply with statutory requirements, and to manage work efficiently, To manage the assignment in accordance with the firm's standard procedures and confirm arrangements with the client, including likely costs and billing arrangements, To ensure tax quality at all times by adhering to the firm's quality standards, To identify and advise on tax planning opportunities and to undertake specialist technical assignments as required To brief junior staff on the client's business and the pre-assignment instructions, to supervise and control the completion of work, and to undertake on the job training and appraisals where necessary To ensure that the job is completed within budget, and to discuss all materials points arising with the assignment partner in the first instance and client immediately, particularly in relation to any anticipated overruns To liaise with the client throughout the year and to practise the principles of excellent client service at all times Profile The successful Private Client Tax Manager should have; A good standard of education, particularly in Maths and English CTA/ATT/ACA qualified or equivalent would be preferred Previous experience operating at Manager level in a similar role is required Proven experience in client handling, Ability to manage complex advisory projects on private client issues (for example inheritance tax and capital gains tax planning etc), Proven tax experience in producing high quality work within budget, An understanding of issues affecting entrepreneurial type clients, owner managed businesses and shareholder transactions, Business development experience and interest in this area of work Job Offer The successful Private Client Tax Manager will receive; Competitive salary of up to £55,000, Competitive benefits package, Fantastic working environment, Excellent career progression, Exposure to fantastic Tax work
