Overview

As an experienced senior engineer, you will be responsible for the planning, installation, servicing and maintenance of access control, intruder alarm and CCTV security systems at client sites. You will work closely with customers, ensuring new installations are correctly commissioned and faults rectified. With a detailed knowledge of security systems projects, you will assist the engineering team with any operational issues, undertake audits to the NSI standards, provide training and manage complex installations. As well as managing your own workload, you will also be responsible for tasks carried out by sub-contractors. With strong organisation and administration skills, you will be responsible for recording site configuration and compliance information and producing reports of work completed. Normal hours of work are 40 per week, 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, and you will also be required to provide ‘out of hours’ cover on a rota basis (one week in two). A call-out allowance, vehicle and phone will be provided. Significant experience and competence in the installation and maintenance of access control systems, intruder alarms and CCTV systems are essential, and to succeed you will also need: •Strong customer-focus, communication and team-working skills •Knowledge of NSI and the audit process •Good computer literacy - including MS Office and Outlook •Certification or experience on intruder alarm systems such as Galaxy, Guardall and Texecom •Certification or experience on Enterprise IP CCTV systems such as Milestone and Avigilon •A full driving licence •A relevant CSCS card •To meet vetting requirements to at least BS7858 standard •Home Office security clearance – desirable Established in 1987, ICTS specialises in the provision of integrated security and customer services within the most demanding environments.
