Adults Legal Assistant
Overview
We are delighted to be recruiting for an Adults Legal Assistant to join a well regarded South London Borough Council. This great opportunity is an initially 3 month locum contract with potential to be extended onto an ongoing basis. The Adults Legal Assistant will be supporting a team of Adults Social Services Lawyers, with matter such as adults safeguarding and the mental health act. They will also be holding their own caseload of Community Deprivation of Liberty applications (DOLS). Further duties include supporting Childcare Lawyers in some of their duties. The Adults Legal Assistant will have knowledge of adults social services legislation and of supporting a team of Adults Social Services Lawyers. Further, they should also have experience of holding a caseload of Community Deprivation of Liberty applications (DOLS). Prior experience of working in a local authority is highly desirable but not a requirement, as our client will happily consider those from other backgrounds.
