FinTech Finance Solicitor
Overview
This is a truly unique opportunity for a banking/finance solicitor to become a specialist in FinTech You will joining a dedicated FinTech practice, which has a proven track record in acting for young and exciting companies on their development. The practice incorporates Commercial, Corporate and Regulatory lawyers and is now in need of a dedicated Finance lawyer to bolster the practice and to work closely with the Finance partner on a range of finance matters within the FinTech arena. As such, this represents a great opportunity for a Banking/Finance lawyer, who is a little tired of their current workload, to switch direction and join a specialist FinTech practice, where you will soon become an expert in this exciting and growing sector. You will have a huge variety in your role and get to act on more 'commercial' matters, alongside the finance work. In fact, this sort of variety in a role is rarely found in private practice and may appeal to those thinking about going 'in-house' to get more breadth of work and exposure to more commercial law. Given the nature of the role, the successful candidate needs a minimum of 2 years' PQE in banking/finance AND a real and demonstrable interest in the FinTech sector (specific sector training will be provided). The firm is truly committed to FinTech and continues to grow its practice. You will be a key part of the practice and reap the benefits of that in due course. The firm itself is a great employer, it attracts high calibre solicitors from top City firms who are looking for a truly supportive and collegiate working environment. As such, someone looking for life outside a Magic Circle/US or Large City/International firm may find this role the breath of fresh-air they've been looking for. Alternatively, an in-house lawyer, with previous private practice finance experience, may find this role attractive as you will have a far broader role than is typically found in private practice but with many of the benefits that come with life in PP.
