Senior Electrical & Mechanical Design Engineer - £90k & Bonus, 10% pension, private health, life assurance & more - Data Centre environment - London (Paddington) The Opportunity Would you like to get involved in one of the most exciting programme of works in the UK that is going to revolutionise the daily lives of commuters in London for one of the most up and coming companies in tech and telecoms? To give you an idea of this truly unique project, it is to roll out 4G mobile connectivity across the underground sections of the London Underground network. While platform access is available for Wi-Fi at the moment, this network build and deployment programme will allow that access to data when on the move in the tunnels so is one of the biggest commuting game changers for many a year. This is to be seen as most exciting project for years in fibre (whole new network from scratch) and around the underground, so a chance to get in 'right at the start'. The Role As the senior designer, you will be accountable for the detailed design, specification and installation of the critical infrastructure required across Data Centres in relation to mechanical, electrical and fire equipment, that all regulatory standards are met and maintained. This is a deigning a brand new network from scratch in and around London in challenging timescales, so a role that will require a proven professional from day 1. Who are you? A senior M&E designer from a Data Centre environment, it's that simple. Someone who has Relevant Data Centre experience (Mechanical & Electrical, air conditioning, generators, UPS's and switching) and is looking to be part of, literally a 'one of a kind' project on the London Underground. Experience of working on and around projects associated with rail, TFL or LUL a distinct advantage and specifically by way of engineering or technology projects into that sector. As this is 'phase 1' of recruitment on a new project, we need people who are really up for a challenge and want to leave their mark on a project that will literally change people's lives for years to come… What next?
