HR Advisor - 12-14 Month Contract

Overview

Our client, a leading employer in Ipswich are looking to recruit a HR Advisor on a 12-14 month contact. They invest very much in their staff and are rolling out some great people focused strategies. With 3 offices across the country and hundreds of staff, these guys are a real top company to be working within. Key Responsibilities: Provide HR advice and guidance, interpretation and implications of HR policy and practice to line management including recommending courses of action to resolve problems and issues such they are aware of Group approach and their obligations within the process or situation. Management of Employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievances, performance improvement plans (PIPs), absence, parental leave, leaver’s interviews etc. Providing support in formal meetings to managers to ensure notes are a true reflection of the meeting, a fair process is followed and there is an appropriate level of questioning and investigation. Provide support in restructures, TUPE and redundancy scenarios across the group. Process and manage the internal payroll process to ensure all inputs are correct, documented and checked within agreed payroll timescales. Host exit interviews with all leavers and collate the data collected to produce meaningful MI and recommendations for improvements. Make recommendations and suggested improvements to current policies and procedures to ensure guidance and advice is in line with Employment Law, ACAS guidance, HMRC rules and the internal direction and culture. Plan, organize and deliver a variety of HR related training to employees and managers reflecting HR policy. Support the HR Business Partner with key projects involving the HR department. Collating data, evidence and industry research to support these initiatives. Ensure compliance with employment legislation in respect of entitlement to work in the UK along with ensuring regulatory training is completed by all employees, promoting tools available to staff. Qualifications and Experience Strong HR Advisor experience gained in a professional environment 5 GCSE’s at grades A-C (or equivalent) to include English and Maths (essential) CIPD qualified / part-qualified (desirable)
