Overview
We’re now recruiting for an experienced AWS Cloud Developer for our Battersea based healthcare tech client; one of the UK’s largest developers of front- line clinical software systems and solutions within the UK’s health sector. You'll be joining a new, dedicated Cloud team put together to specifically focus on the managed services and server-less technologies on the AWS Public Cloud. What will you be doing? The Cloud team are responsible for enabling and supporting other teams in the business in developing high quality, intuitive Cloud Services through promoting best practice and application security, designing and creating templates, standards and guides to follow, whilst allowing this team the freedom to continue to innovate. It’s a role which will see you working on the company’s next generation healthcare systems through the full product delivery cycle. The team also share responsibility for managing the Scrum process, collaborating closely, leading and participating in meetings, stand ups and stakeholder engagement. What they’re looking for…. Ideally you’ll be an experienced Software Developer, with experience of Cloud Development practices. You’re comfortable collaborating with colleagues as well as internal/external stakeholders and will have experience of working in a fast-paced and fluid Agile Scrum development environment. You’ll possess excellent communication skills and are naturally inquisitive, not afraid to challenge and confident suggesting and shaping new ideas or innovations. Key skills/knowledge for this role include: Full product lifecycle Node.js (or other JavaScript) Kubernetes AND/OR AWS and other Cloud platform experience; SAM CloudFormation Lambda If you also have experience or knowledge of any of the following areas, it would be really useful: REST, OpenAPI; Application security; Continuous deployment; git; Atlassian suite; clinical data modelling or healthcare data systems What are they are offering It's a permanent full time role with the opportunity to work from home 2-3 days /week after initial induction and training.
