Systems Engineer with Data Science Filton 6 – 12 months £40 ph ltd MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS Degree in data science/statistics/analytics/engineering plus systems background Essential skillsets would be: If we have a systems engineer then Analysing/ designing systems so must have experience in design/architect a system ideally in aerospace as well as analysing systems. Familiarity with regulations. If we have a data scientist person then practice examples of machine learning and data analytics. Advantageous if practical experience in decomposing system requirements into a system architecture and system design. Ideally have experience in safety analysis method in functional and common causes as well. If someone has experience in modelling and simulation to design and safety activities. Simulink. If the data science person has AI experience as well as familiar with suite of machine learningincl in-research technologies and awareness one emerging technologies Ideally looking for someone who is technically strong and a good leader. Will be difficult to find a systems engineer with data science skills but this is ideally what they want. You have… A degree or strong technical background in Systems Engineering or similar, preferably with experience in the Aerospace sector. Experience in both systems engineering (architecture or control system design) and data science is preferred but candidates may alternatively have a strong experience in one area and a willingness to diversify. Experience in aerospace systems and specifically landing gear systems is preferred but not essential. You are… Keen to learn about broader technical and non-technical aspects of product development and delivery. Able to influence, lead and collaborate to deliver the optimal solutions, either as part of a team or autonomously. Ideally knowledgeable of Landing Gear Systems and modern development methodologies (e.g. Digitalisation & Model Based System Engineering), but not a pre-requisite.
