We are looking for enthusiastic and positive Care Assistants & Companions in the Reading area of Berkshire. Full training is provided, you just need a patient, caring and understanding nature and a passion to make a difference. It is essential that you have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle. Our client has guaranteed hours available in most of the Reading area including Burghfield, Mortimer, Tilehurst, Woodley, Earley, Lower Earley, Caversham and Emmer Green and surrounding areas, so if you live in any of these areas, they have plenty of local work for you. Care Assistant & Companion – Job Description People often have the wrong perception of what this type of role involves. Every person’s needs vary, from companionship, assisting with personal care, domestic duties and preparing meals, to helping with medication or taking them out to continue doing the things they love, which could be attending their local singing group, a trip to garden centre or just a simple stroll and a bit of fresh air. If you think of the things that you would do for a relative or a friend, or even what you would expect for yourself when you’re older, this role is doing just that and offers a rewarding feeling like no other. What they can offer you? · £11.00 - £16.50 per hour 45p mileage allowance. · Full or part time hours, GUARANTEED HOURS. · Weekend pay rate of £12.50 per hour. · Time and half bank holiday. · Christmas day and Boxing day double time. · Hours range between 06.30 - 22.30.
