Are you an Engineer at the top of your game in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably with multi skilled or flexible engineering experience? Due to an internal opportunity for one of our existing Engineers we are looking to find an a good all round Engineer with a maintenance bias to help us to fill the gap. This role will work alongside our Engineering Team Manager on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern in a 24/7 Bakery plant based at Tuscany Park on the outskirts of Wakefield. The Recipe At Tuscany Park we have a highly skilled and well-established engineering team focused on a site reliability plan to deliver maintenance best practice. In this role you’ll be responsible for providing the daily support to the operations and production team managers, skilled in finding and rectifying faults you will also provide support to planned and preventative maintenance, working across a range of equipment from bulk ingredient handling systems, through processing to packaging and site services. You will be familiar with and understand the importance of our SAP based maintenance system and take responsibility for delivering your allocated work and how your time is utilised. Our engineers work in teams in close conjunction with production, safety and hygiene teams, driving planned and reactive work. You’ll be undertaking planned and preventative maintenance and encouraged to use your engineering skills and experience to develop robust solutions and longer-term fixes however be able to be reactive to plant issues as they arise. Your work will range from general plant maintenance, to improving plant reliability and diagnosing problems before they develop. You will enjoy the variety of a manufacturing environment, and be keen to get involved in other work such as safety teams and improvement initiatives. As part of the Engineering team you’ll be encouraged and supported to foster new ideas and perspectives whilst driving change at pace. We promote a culture of continuous improvement whilst working on a changing approach to reliability centred maintenance in a highly automated production facility. Full training will be provided with opportunities for further personal development available. As part of your role you’ll be identifying and completing continuous improvement projects to increase plant efficiency, reduce downtime and save energy and associated costs.
