Overview
Buyer Cardiff (office-based) Salary - competitive Full Time, Permanent We are excited to have partnered with a market leading construction / engineering firm based in South Wales. Due to continued success our client is looking for a talented Buyer to join their team. Working closely with the Production Manager you will play a key role in the procurement of a wide range of materials specific to each project; working closely with Architects, Clients and suppliers. Key responsibilities: Independently managing all supplier relationships. Perform on time delivery of products or services and negotiate with suppliers to ensure best quality and value for money. Conducting price / market analysis and driving annual cost reduction. Working closely with the production team to ensure accurate costings. What you need to apply:- Previous experience of working as a Buyer. Analytical approach with superb problem-solving skills. Proven experience of managing a busy workload. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with both internal and external customers. Confidently be able to demonstrate proven cost savings. Personable and friendly character Good communication and organizational skills Superb attention to detail Proficient in MS Office packages, including Excel. Previous experience of working with architects or construction professionals considered highly desirable but not essential. Interested in hearing more?
