About the roleAs part of a successful and growing mechanical services department you'll provide direct support to the Mechanical Services Director whilst joining a team that's been delivering industry leading design solutions for decades. Your exceptional levels of service will continue to drive standards in quality and build long-term partnerships with our clients.Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities Leading the delivery of Mechanical Services scope of work across multiple projects, as part of a single or multi-disciplinary design teamCarrying out any or all stages of Mechanical Services design from concept to completion as neededWorking with the business development team, leading the preparation of bids including the generation of man-hours estimatesLeading a multi-disciplinary design team where requiredReporting on project performance (technical and financial)Actively contributing to the development of the departmentAssuring design qualityMentoring and coaching other team members Who we're looking forAn individual with a comprehensive and current knowledge base of all mechanical building and infrastructure servicesTechnical knowledge of mechanical building services in at least one of BakerHicks' core sectors (aviation, defence, life sciences and manufacturing, nuclear, power, public and rail)Knowledge of assurance processes, codes of practice, standards and relevant sections of statutory documentationDemonstrable track record of exceptional project delivery and client satisfaction in both technical and commercial aspectsExperienced in the delivery of major projects within a variety of business sectorsExceptional communication skillsAbility to liaise and co-ordinate with clients, architects and all other members of the design teamDegree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or the equivalentA member of a professional institute, such as CIBSE or IET
