Overview
Care Assistant based at Ty Gwyn, Penarth Available Hours: Permanent - Full Time - 39 hours per week. Shift Details - Rolling Rota. The role requires individuals who: are flexible in their approach and sensitive to the needs of residents enjoy the company of older people have a willingness to learn and develop work well as part of a team have the ability to form positive relationships with residents, their families and professional colleagues You will be responsible for supporting older people to live their daily lives to the full, assisting with their physical and personal needs to enhance each individual's well-being. Ty Gwyn in South Wales was refurbished in December 2006, having first been opened as a privately owned nursing home in 1972. MHA looked for ways to enhance and improve the home to its full potential when it acquired it in 2003. It now has facilities including a number of en suite rooms and double bedrooms for couples. Ty Gwyn is a 45 bed general Nursing Home situated in the seaside town of Penarth. The new furniture, fixtures and fittings completely transformed Ty Gwyn. Each of the three floors has a lounge, dining facilities and even a spa bath, and all bedrooms have electric profiling beds offering the very latest in comfort.
