Overview

As a multi-site Education Service and Delivery group, this highly successful enterprise supports a broad range of independent organisations. On-going investment and ambitious plans have created a high-profile opportunity for a Senior Procurement Manager. Reporting to the Finance Director and supporting the Site Finance & Operations teams, you will lead a small procurement function and deliver efficient processes and achieve economies of scale and best value for money across a wide range of categories. Your brief includes: •On-going hands on management & development of procurement & category strategy & contracts •On-going development of group procurement best practice & purchasing policy & procedures •Implementation of procurement controls, systems & processes •Maximise benefits from group purchasing opportunities for business units & sites to adopt •Advising business units & sites and function budget holders on procurement pricing, contracts & service level agreements •Supporting the management & control of budget expenditure on goods & services •Supporting individual sites to ensure regional & local contracts provide consistency & value for money •Working with the Commercial Manager to establish a framework based on preferred suppliers for approved products & services categories & periodically review supplier performance •Assisting the Finance Director & wider senior management team with specific procurement requests including leading on procurement work streams for business development projects As a CIPS qualified with relevant procurement experience gained in a multi-site, decentralised setting eg: schools, academies, retail & wholesale, not-for-profit or other public or private sector groups, you will demonstrate a proven track record of implementing and developing robust purchasing frameworks. You will be adept at supplier sourcing, contract negotiation, building strong supplier relationships and monitoring Service Level Agreements. With the capability of working autonomously, you will be a self-starter with excellent communication skills, as the role works closely with a range of functional teams and Business Managers based across the UK.
