Overview
To own the financial running of the subsidiary through strong financial disciplines, coupled with commercial support of the sales and marketing functions. Oversee and mentor the Management Accountant to ensure all financial reporting and forecasting into Head Office. Client Details Finance Controller - Global Events Business in Surrey Description Forecasting Supervise production of monthly management reports and quarterly reporting Review monthly management accounts and forecast with Event Director, his/her team and the Managing Director Co-ordinate and manage consolidation of company's forecasts liaising with all stakeholders Manage yearly long-term planning (LTP); and prepare company Business Plan in association with all stakeholders Review Forecasts and LTP with all managers and MD Present updates/figures to Finance management team Treasury Manage yearly liquidity planning (TM5) and report to HO Treasury management Statutory Reporting Produce year end results Produce year end pack for auditors in accordance with group guidelines and timetable Ensure all year end data is entered onto Infor in accordance with group guidelines and timetable Manage the UK audit, acting as the interface between UK management, group accounting and the UK auditors Liaise with UK auditors in the production of the UK statutory accounts agreeing any audit adjustments Liaise with tax advisors in preparation of the UK corporation tax returns Management of Finance Function Oversee credit control and purchase ledger payments Oversee payroll Drive a standardised process for managing all suppliers Review all company contracts (customers and suppliers) Review all company insurance policies; negotiate and renew as required Robustly challenge all budget holders on contractual terms Management of One Direct Report Profile Qualified Accountant ACA Knowledge of Xero, Sage Good MS Office skills Excellent Excel Skills Methodical and organised individual with excellent time management Good communication skills at all levels both internally and externally A high level of technical competence (for both accounting principles and systems) Team player who can interact both at group and company level At least 5 years' experience working in a finance department Must have worked for a large organisation before, and ideally collaborated with an international HQ Group reporting within a blue-chip environment desirable Good commercial experience Job Offer £55,000 - £65,000 Bonus Pension
