Overview
My client is seeking a Digital Developer to join their development team in their offices in Bath, Somerset. The successful candidate will be experienced in coding and responsible for the development and delivery of browser-based applications and websites. Ideal candidates will have a solid background in software development using a range of tools within project management methodologies and be commercially astute. This role calls for an experienced and adaptable individual who has the ability to transform the client’s vision into a reality using extensive digital development skills. Responsibilities: • Produce software of the highest standard • Work with stakeholders to establish requirements and scope, providing regular progress updates • Ensure all output conforms to accessibility guidelines and documentation is up to date • Keep up to date and share details of current and emerging digital technology • Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting Essential: • 1 year commercial experience in a digital development environment developing web products • 1 year WordPress experience • Web development skills in JavaScript, PHP, HTML, CSS, Object-Oriented Design, Web Services (REST) • Knowledge of MySQL (some SQLite, MongoDB, redis) • Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise tasks, work under pressure and meet deadlines • Ability to use own initiative, with a proactive and problem-solving attitude • Understanding of Linux, Unix and Windows • Good knowledge of version control systems such as GIT • Understanding of modern web technologies Desirable: • Web development skills in TypeScript, Angular, Node, JQuery, Web User Interface Design (UI) • Working knowledge of AWS Should you have any questions or wish to apply please do not hesitate to contact Clear IT Recruitment Limited.
