Purchase Ledger Clerk | 6 month FTC | Accrington | £18000-£19500 | Onsite parking | Potential to become perm Your new company This is a specialist service business based in Accrington, Lancashire. They have shown to grow year on year and following this, have acquired a new business creating an opportunity for an experienced Purchase Ledger clerk to join their team on a full time basis for an initial period of 6 months. Your new role As Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will report directly to the Finance Manager and work in a strong and long serving team of 5, inclusive of 2 AP clerks, 2 AR Clerks and an Accounts Assistant. You will be processing a high volume of complex purchase invoices, working primarily on SAP & Excel, matching and coding of invoices and running regular reports. Your role will also involve accounts administration, checking of relevant documentation for pending permits and taking credit and debit card payments. This role will be 30 hours per week, which can be worked flexibly depending on your circumstances What you'll need to succeed You should have experience working in an accounts payable role previously and feel comfortable managing high volumes of data. Experience of SAP is highly desirable and/or the ability to pick up new systems quickly. You should have a flexible working attitude and be happy to assist in other administrative areas of the business when required. What you'll get in return You will be offered a generous package which will include a full time equivalent salary between £18000- £19500. You will shortly move into brand new offices with onsite parking and join a long standing, friendly team. There is a strong chance of this role becoming permanent for the right candidate.
