Overview

MSL - Scientific Communications Do you want to work for and make a real impact on a £130m turnover, private equity backed, international healthcare business, which specialises in the development, manufacture and distribution of diagnostic products which has doubled its revenues in the last 5 years? We are looking for an individual with a background in mass spectrometry and an understanding of clinical chemistry to provide internal and external education for our products in various formats including presentations, scientific writing, literature distillation and clinical study support. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Distillation of abstracts and peer reviewed papers relevant to The Binding Site (TBS) Production of abstracts, posters and peer reviewed papers Delivery of coordinated global scientific material including slides, flyers, white papers, brochures Production of standard company presentations to align scientific and commercial message Analysis of internal and external data to support Key Opinion Leader (KOL) studies Provide internal and external product education support including organisation of global customer presentations and delivery of companywide scientific training sessions for broader scientific teams Contribute to the activities of the following functions (internal or external) to achieve the agreed objectives: - Assay discovery and new product development (including process and analytical development) - Production support - Reporting and technology transfer - Immunisation and Immunology research - Clinical validation studies - Regulatory and Quality. Attend scientific conferences and present scientific results. National and international travel to meet the business requirements Essential: BSc in Biology, Immunology or similar PhD in Biochemistry or related subject (or demonstrable experience in clinical chemistry) Expert knowledge of MALDI mass spectrometry methods Clinical Chemistry experience including clinical and assay performance (CLSI guidelines, linearity, precision, LoB, LoQ, LoD, interference) Proven publication record Communication of complex scientific messages (digital, written, audio) Presentation skills (multiple fields) Excellent scientific communication skills (written and verbal) Excellent organisational skills Must be able to travel nationally and internationally (up to 30% of the time)
