Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well known and established name within the Financial Services industry where you will be responsible for the production of all internal and external financial reports. This includes, but not limited to the management accounts, KPI reports for the Board and Senior Management, statutory financial statements and all other statutory returns for the business and all its subsidiaries. Accountabilities: To produce the FRS 102 and FRS 103 Annual Report and Accounts for the business and its subsidiaries, and to manage the external audit process To work together with the business actuary to ensure all Solvency II regulatory returns and Solvency II internal reports are completed on time and in the prescribed manner To manage the production of the monthly management accounts, balance sheet and cashflow statement for delivery to the Board To review all balance sheet and cash reconciliations for the business and all its subsidiaries To manage our cashflow forecasting model, manage the transfer of funds to or from our investments and the production of investment performance reports for delivery to the Board To manage the production of the bordereau reports for our reinsurers and deal with all queries from our reinsurers To manage the production the annual budget and monthly reforecasts To work closely with other functions to help them manage their expenditure against the budget To work with our external tax advisors to ensure the corporation tax returns are completed on time and in the prescribed manner To manage the production of the quarterly VAT returns and all other HMRC reporting in accordance to HMRC requirements To support the Chief Financial Officer in providing an oversight function over the Finance department and ensure accounting records and systems are maintained in accordance with professional accounting standards, good corporate governance, legislation, and regulatory requirements Requirements: I would be interested to hear from Chartered Accountants from the insurance sector who have experience of internal and external reporting and understand that certain accounting decisions/changes may have an impact from a Solvency II perspective. Experience in FRS 102 would be an advantage but not essential.
