Position Overview for a BI Developer The BI Lead is responsible for the ongoing development and delivery of data and BI related projects across the business, playing a pivotal role in translating data into a common, understandable and valuable resource for end users within the business . Over time, the BI Lead will take ownership of building a new Business Data Team that will focus on the analysis of processes, quality, sales and opportunities within the Group. Principal Responsibilities Commercial Develop automated solutions for data input and data integration Analyse data and deliver competitive business intelligence Report and analyse data, ensuring that all business management, finance and performance systems meet business needs Lead the design, consolidation and integration of existing data systems, collaborating with internal stakeholders and 3 rd parties. Implement data governance, data compliance, automation first approach and seek out client and business opportunities Design and Deliver ETL processes using SSIS Manage the ongoing development and delivery of all BI related projects across IN-SYNC Group Build and maintain batch reporting and test framework Identify new technologies which will improve the delivery of BI solutions Report and analyse data ensuring that all business management, finance and performance systems meet business needs Work within project timelines and budgets Resource Management Agree and implement productivity levels through the team, ensuring they meet needs of the business Provide on-going feedback to team members to facilitate continuous personal development and success Address performance issues in a pro-active, fair and timely manner Deliver to defined timelines in order to meet business requirements Support and train other members of the team Communication Provide feedback to management of potential improvements to existing procedures and systems Work as part of the IT team, to achieve the departmental standards and objectives Work effectively with other departments within the Group to maintain excellent standards of service Knowledge Maintain an excellent level of understanding and knowledge of IN-SYNC Groups’ products and services in order to fully understand process and delivering requirements Take responsibility for own personal development in line with agreed performance objectives Support colleagues and team members with investigating and resolving product and services issues. Background / Experience Required Essential: Excellent knowledge of SQL, SSRS, SSIS, ETL, Power BI and AI/ML (Azure) Commercial experience of working with financial data Experience of Managing a team Exposure to Agile working practices Experience of interacting with key business stakeholders Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal Able to demonstrate drive and a positive approach to work Resilient and proactive with a flexible approach and strong time management skills Desirable: Knowledge of Cloud Technologies (Azure/AWS), JSON, API, C# A Fintech or technology background About IN-SYNC Group IN-SYNC Group is a specialist group of companies, providing a unique service of financial benefits to contractor and corporate clients.
