Job Description We are looking for caring and enthusiastic Support Workers who are passionate about supporting people with a learning disability, to enable the people we support to live as independently as possible in our flagship service in Basingstoke. There are full and part time contracts available from 15 up to 37.5 hours per week on a permanent basis, however we are always interested if you are looking for a Relief position. Our Supported Living services is home to 6 people with ages ranging from 18 to 35 who have profound and multiple learning disabilities, complex healthcare needs, mobility issues and non-verbal. We support with things like medication, personal care, their emotional wellbeing, budgeting and finances and domestic duties. They enjoy a wide range of leisure activities such as board games, watching films, puzzles and arts & crafts The service is a very modern, brand new building with state of the art equipment. This is a hugely rewarding role that will not only make you feel proud to support someone with everything associated with moving into a new home, but also to be part of such a memorable time for them. Together, you will be building new friendships, activities and opportunities within the local community, and beyond. You will be seeking out their hobbies, interests and passions and creating some fantastic memories along the way. As the people we support require assistance 24 hours a day the shift patterns vary between 07.00 – 22.00. There are no sleep in's required at this time as we have a separate Waking Night team. We understand that flexibility is a two way street and we will try to factor your commitments into our rotas where possible. Due to the location of the service, a driving licence is preferred. There are reasonable bus routes to the service however the train station is about 3 miles away. If you are looking for a challenging but rewarding role, please apply today.
