As part of this programme we are changing the way we deliver services for Children and Young People with Special Educational Needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families. Your new role We are looking for a knowledgeable Early Years SEND Support Worker to join the SEND Service on a full time, permanent basis. As an Early Years SEND Support Worker , you will provide advice and support to early years settings, childminders and families on the management and support of children with SEND. You will maintain a caseload of children and settings to be visited at a defined frequency as well as maintain an accurate electronic diary and agree working patterns with the Early Years SEND Team Leader. You will work collaboratively with families and schools to consider all educational provision suitable for the child, promoting inclusion at all times. What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this role, you must have experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and a Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare/Health/Social Care or equivalent. It is essential that you have good knowledge of child development and the EYFS curriculum. Previous experience of communicating effectively and professionally with families, education staff and partner agencies both in writing and verbally will be ideal for this role. You need to be highly organised, be able to prioritise and meet deadlines as well as possess proficient ICT skills.
