I want to be light hearted and jokey, at the same time as recognising the importance of Nurses, and the valuable role they undertake within Nursing Homes and the rewards they gain. Let's talk about the REWARDS to start with Nursing Home Night Nurse get to know their residents well, their idiosyncrasies their smiles, their characters. Nursing Home Night Nurses get to know families and friends of their residents, they are recognised and thanked for their care on a regular basis. Nursing Home Night Nurses earn good money, between £31,000 (Band 5) up to £44,000 (Band 6), depending on hours and experience. Nursing Home Night Nurses start at 8 and finish at 8, they get to go to the loo, as required, they get free food, and their off dutys weeks in advance. Sounds too good to be true. NUTS AND BOLTS You will be required between 2 registered nurses and 4 carers to look after around 30 residents, and the drugs round is a doddle. 5.6 weeks paid leave, NMC fees paid and uniforms provided of course.
