Overview
Balfor Health and social care are currently recruiting for family support workers to join our client’s team on a 3-month interim contact. The role will require you to work on a full-time basis 37 hours per week Monday to Friday and offers a hourly pay rate of £11.00 – £14.00. You will be required to communicate and meet with external agencies and care professionals in order to support children, Young people and their families in order to provide the right intervention services to enable positive and agrees outcomes. Requirements: Previous experience working as a family support worker. 2-year experience working within children’s heath and social care. Hold an NVQ level 3 in health and social care or equivalent. Safeguarding and child protection awareness. Have a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential. Hold a enhance DBS on the update service. Person Specification A good understanding and knowledge of child development. Be able to communicate effectively with children and families. Able to liaise with Head teachers, class teachers, Adults and Children’s Services and professionals within external agencies where appropriate. Be able to maintain accurate written records, update the case tracker system to record session notes and produce high quality concise reports. Experience of completing Early Help Assessments, Action Plans, and Outcome Star Assessments. The ability to work on own initiative and as a member of a wider team. be committed to flexible working, travelling to different sites, school visits and multi-agency meetings.
