Overview
I have a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced and ambitious family solicitor in a well-respected Black Country firm. This well-known West Midlands based practice has built a solid reputation for its private client and commercial services and is now looking to appoint a Head of Family Law. The Family Team is split between dealing with privately funded divorce, ancillary relief and private Children Act work, and the Public Law Team which deals with Care proceedings. Your role as the Head Family Solicitor will be to lead the Private Family Team across the Black Country offices. Ideally, you will have already attained several years' experience in privately funded work and should have some track record for managing and leading a team of fee earners. The successful applicant will have the full backing of the firm and its support function, however will be expected to lead from the front, marketing and generating future work sources. You will have the ability to supervise and motivate the team towards achieving the departmental financial targets, and the technical know-how to lend support where required.
