Banking / Corporate / Commercial / Litigation / Paralegal - Corporate, commercial and / or banking experience - £30,000 - £38,000 (Excellent training provided) Manchester city centre CORPORATE / BANKING / COMMERCIAL PARALEGAL (TEAM MANAGERIAL POSITION) - MANCHESTER Banking / Corporate / Commercial Paralegal (Team Manager) - Our client is looking for an experienced fee earner with a background in corporate commercial or banking law with proven project management skills. Candidates with commercial litigation experience will also be considered due to the variety of the role. Qualified solicitors will also be considered for this role. BRIEF OVERVIEW OF ROLE Job title: Team Manager Location: Manchester Salary: £30,000 - £38,000 Reports to: Partner Previous Experience: Our client is ideally looking for a candidate with a strong transactional background in areas such as corporate, commercial or banking. Candidates with strong commercial litigation experience will also be considered. KEY STRATEGIC ROLE WITHIN TEAM The range of fee earning work covered by the team is vast and varied. However, this is a management role and the successful applicant will be expected to lead and motivate a team of around 12 to 15 junior paralegals / fee earners who support on various deals undertaken by the firm. Typically, the tasks given to more junior paralegals within the department range from assisting on due diligence exercises, to document review as well as supporting on large pieces of commercial litigation. As a Manager of such a team, you will have very limited fee earning responsibilities. Your role will focus more on managing the team in terms of productivity and capacity and conducting and necessary reviews and setting relevant KPIs in terms of career progression. A MIX OF QUALITIES Candidates should have good general management and project management skills. Our client is looking for bright, adaptable candidates, whose strength is getting the best out of others, whether managing teams to a tight deadline or nurturing or encouraging staff. They are looking for those with a legal background in corporate, commercial, banking or commercial litigation, but who are perhaps looking for a new challenge. ONGOING AND DEVELOPMENT Our client has a fantastic reputation for developing staff and has a reputable in-house training scheme which affords all lawyers excellent ongoing development. Successful applicants will be able to take advantage of a 2-week training course when starting with the firm to bring them up to speed with the firm's systems and its cutting edge law tech. New recruits will also benefit from an insightful 'buddy scheme' which enables new starters to shadow more experienced managers before they get started.
