Overview

Urgent requirement for a Childcare Lawyer to undertake a 12 months FTC on a part time basis in Bedfordshire. Reporting to the principal lawyer, the successful solicitor, barrister or chartered legal executive will advise public sector and not for profit clients on a range of childcare matters. Additionally, you will play an active role in the continued development and growth of the team. Responsibilities • Care proceedings • Adoption • Legal Aid applications • Applications for secure accommodation • Public law outline matters (PLO) • Issues relating to the protection of children and young people • Attending court to conduct advocacy • Revoking placement orders The Candidate • A solicitor, barrister or chartered legal executive with a minimum of 2 years’ PQE • Technically proficient in all aspects of public children’s law • Available for a period of 12 months to commence immediately • Membership of the Law Society’s Children Law Accreditation Scheme is highly desirable • A confident advocate with exceptional communication skills • Demonstrates an understanding of the legal framework surrounding local government • Seeking a part time position The Firm Our client is a highly regarded social enterprise law firm specialising in the public sector.
