Are you looking for an Audit & Accounts Manager role? Our client, a leading firm of chartered accountants, is recruiting for a dynamic, entrepreneurial person to join the team in Beaconsfield. Supporting the directors, the Audit & Accounts Manager will have the following responsibilities: Supervise a portfolio of mainly corporate clients for one or more of directors Manage members of the audit and accounts team, carrying out audit, statutory accounts and corporation tax returns Apply relevant reporting standards, tax law and auditing standards whilst executing work within deadlines and to budget and communicating effectively Supporting team members and assisting to resolve technical issues Oversee the preparation of VAT returns and management accounts by the outsourced bookkeeping department Alongside the director, manage client relationships, focusing on their needs and dealing with queries and requests as they arise, liaising with other managers and directors to ensure the smooth flow of work Regularly report to directors on the workflow, work in progress, forthcoming deadlines and job costs and give regular, constructive feedback to the audit and accounts team Assist in the assessment, development and training of the team Please apply for this role if you can satisfy the following criteria: ACCA / ACA / ICAS qualified and have up to date CPD Minimum four years post-qualification experience of audit and statutory accounts and be fully conversant with new UK GAAP Be familiar with specialist assurance engagements such as charities and client money engagements (such as SRA reports) Be comfortable reviewing corporation tax and VAT returns, and be familiar with other aspects of the UK corporate tax code including P11Ds, PSAs, ATED, EMI reporting Conversant with the suite of CCH accounts, audit and tax software and experience of using Sage, Xero, QuickBooks Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven analytical skills and attention to detail Be comfortable managing multiple competing engagements, workflows and timeframes, and working under pressure to meet deadlines This highly professional firm will offer the successful candidate a competitive salary and a supportive working environment.
