Overview
We are currently looking for confident, passionate and keen individuals to join a team of experienced face to face fundraisers for one of the UK's leading charities, Marie Curie. The charity: Marie Curie offer expert care, guidance and support to help anyone suffering from a terminal illness, and their families. They provide both practical and emotional support through the services of their nine hospices, nurses and helper volunteers at the heart of communities around the UK. By joining Marie Curie, you will be a part of one of the industry's largest and most successful in-house fundraising teams. The role: As a face to face fundraiser you will be interacting with members of the public and inspiring them to donate to Marie Curie on a regular basis by form of direct debit. You will always work with a team of people and will be based in London and its surrounding areas. You will be located on various high streets and in venues, such as a shopping mall or train station. There are frequent opportunities to also work on Marie Curie's very own interactive yellow double decker bus This informative and unique experience invites the public to hop on the bus, providing insight and connecting them to a day in the life of a Marie Curie nurse. In addition, Marie Curie offer exciting one-week travel trips to other areas, where accommodation, food and travel will all be provided. Hours and pay: Working as a fundraiser is a fulfilling role which will allow you to make a difference in many people's lives. But that's not all - in return for your fantastic work you will receive a whole host of benefits as follows: - £10.50 to £13.50 per hour (depending on experience and length of service) - Sociable working hours of Monday to Friday, from 10am-6pm - Accrued holiday pay - Weekly pay - Working in a fun and supportive environment with plenty of progression opportunities; Marie Curie are always looking for standout fundraisers to take their next step into Team Leading Our expectations: We are looking for someone with strong ethos, character and spark who can take initiative to approach and engage with people and show resilience when faced with rejection. If you have a background in sales, promotions, hospitality, retail or acting, this could be just the role for you. Don't panic if you haven't got any experience, because you will be offered in depth training to prepare you before you start work.
