Overview
Electrically Biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer required in Gillingham, Kent. 2 days / 2 nights / 4 off shift Working for part of a global packaging company the Maintenance Engineer will carry out general Electrical and Mechanical servicing, repairs, installation and testing, improvement projects and general routine maintenance tasks on a wide range of production machinery such as, plastic extrusion, printing, plating process, automated warehouse and site facilities . Candidate Requirements: Electrically biased with associated qualifications, with mechanical competency Happy to work the proposed shifts call outs (rota) Maintenance and continuous improvement engineering experience gained from a process environment Maintenance Engineer responsibilities: Carry out duties assigned by Senior Team Leader, Maintenance and/or Print & Maintenance Manager using own initiative and best judgement Propose alterations and improvements to all systems, plant, equipment and tools in the interests of the company, Engineering Department and all forms of safety To attend breakdowns and take appropriate action to return plant to production in a timely manner whilst adhering to safe working procedures and maintaining a standard of good engineering practice Performing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) as required. Ensuring that all Electrical installations adhere to the Safe Working Procedures, Instructions, and legal and best practice requirements. Keeping clear, complete and appropriate records of all work carried out. Attending call outs as required by a roster. The role offers a competitive salary, benefits and excellent career prospects.
