Overview
We are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to provide 2nd and 3rd line IT support for our clients' customers and their internal systems based at their headquarters in West Lothian. You should have a successful track record in delivering high volume Desktop and Infrastructure Support services. Essential skills and experience ITIL experience Microsoft MCP / MCSA or working towards this Troubleshooting and resolving Network Issues Understanding of switch, router and firewall configuration Strong knowledge MS Windows desktops, troubleshooting and deployment MS Exchange Desktop client/network server configuration and support Excellent interpersonal skills and a helpful attitude, the ability to communicate with staff at all levels VMware / Hyper-V Backup Exec and or Veeam Excellent, demonstrable experience of organising and prioritising tasks and delivering to deadlines Proven ability to work in an unsupervised, standalone environment Desirable ITIL foundation certification Microsoft MCSE or actively working toward this Strong experience of configuring and managing switches, routers and firewalls Solid understanding and experience of troubleshooting and administering technologies such as Windows 7, Server 2008 / 2012, Active Directory, Exchange, MS Office, VPN, Firewalls, Storage, Security and Microsoft Systems Centre Technologies, Utilising remote access tools The client offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits package including payment for on-call.
