Overview
Technical Sales Engineer (Electrical Testing) Provectus are currently partnered with a leading technical services business in Milton Keynes. The business offers various testing processes to their customers on a consultative basis, primarily focusing on Electrical components. We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to work closely alongside other members of the Technical Sales Team & concentrate on identifying and implementing new test equipment and procedures for new electrical components. This is a project focused role, that will have a lot of exposure to customers throughout various testing processes. It is a business where everyone knows everyone, a sense of humour is paramount, but when it comes to crunch-time, it’s all hands-on deck, pulling together to achieve the target result · Management of customer activity around testing procedures and processes · Identify and implement new test procedures for new electrical capabilities · Ensure the business remains competent and modern with available testing techniques · Work closely with sales team to develop & grow accounts by promoting capabilities · Become a leader on all cable testing procedures, LV, MV, HV · Create presentations to customers and internal colleagues where necessary The Ideal Candidate This role requires a creative mindset, strong customer facing skills & the ability to multi-task through project management. Due to the technicalities of this position, a strong academic background in Electrical Engineering or Chemistry would be beneficial. · Able to build relationships with Stakeholders & colleagues · Excellent attention to detail, able to map out competitor capabilities and newly available test processes · Experience implementing new electrical testing procedures · Knowledge of cable testing procedures such as: Tensile, Corrosion, etc · An understanding of polymer dynamics would be beneficial This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89835101
