Cognos Developer (Business Intelligence) Marylebone, London £60,000 to £65,000 per year The Opportunity: To join an award winning engineering and transport focussed business and their team of specialist Business Intelligence (BI) developers based out of their offices in Marylebone, central London. You will be working under limited supervision and take ownership and responsibility for providing subject matter expertise within the BI team, identifying and implementing process improvements that drive efficiency and return on investment using BI strategies and tools This role will lead on the innovation and development, via best practice, for the improvement of their legacy systems, whilst designing next generation products and systems using the latest tools, processes and disciplines available in Business Intelligence. The role will entail driving the use and ongoing adoption of data and analytics for their internal and external customers across UK and Europe. Skills and Experience: IBM Cognos v10 – proven expertise in the development and maintenance of reports, together with Crystal/WEBI reports development Technical Environment: Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools, including IBM Cognos Report Studio, Framework Manager, SAP Business Objects, Power BI, (Structured Query Language) SQL Server Reporting Services, Integration Services (SSIS) and Server Analysis Services SSAS) Dimensional Modelling (Kimball Methodology), database principles and ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) The ability to navigate complex databases with SQL (Structured Query Language) across multiple platforms, to create and maintain reporting datasets in multiple database platforms (Oracle, SQL Server) Strong commercial experience of using multiple ETL tools (SSIS, Informatica PowerCenter, Talend, etc.) Experience of Cloud based Infrastructure i.e. Microsoft Azure Applications: To learn more about our client’s journey and their commitment to build the next generation of reports, platforms and systems needed across the transport engineering sector working as a Senior Business Intelligence Developer (Cognos/ETL); please call and speak with James Sample here in our London offices on 0203 872 6600 or send me a copy of your latest CV or online profile for a call back in the strictest confidence.
