Database Administrator - DBA - SQL and Oracle Cambridge, Cambridgeshire Permanent, Competitive salary and superb benefits We have an immediate opportunity for an infrastructure focused DBA with experience of both SQL and Oracle Database Administration . You will be working within an international organisation providing strategic project direction and acting as a point of escalation. As DBA you will be working closely with a managed service partner, whilst defining the roadmap, architecture, strategy and design. You will act as the primary point of escalation for DBA issues for the managed partner while working closely with the wider IT function; applications team, TechOps etc. The successful DBA will have experience of: Windows and Linux OS SQL and Oracle Database Technologies Virtualisation and storage disaster concepts Database backup and recovery technologies (SQL and RMAN) Database and OS deployment, configuration and management SQL clusters and fault-tolerant database solutions This is an opportunity for an accomplished DBA who wants to leverage their experience within a large scale, complex, mature environment. You will be a subject matter expert and your opinions and strategies will be adopted and followed.
