Overview

Kitchen Designer - Contracts Division Based in Worsley, Manchester. If you are an experienced CAD designer who has a passion for changing dreams into a reality through innovative design, then joining our Contracts division as a Kitchen Designer could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for Working closely with the Regional Contracts Managers you will be designing kitchens for our contract clients who come from a variety of backgrounds including Housing Associations, Construction/New Builds and Developers etc. From the specifications provided you will bring to life our customers’ expectations with regards to meeting their needs within budget, therefore you will need to be experienced in producing high quality and innovative kitchen designs. Responsibilities in brief: Work closely with the Regional Contract Managers in order to achieve commercial goals Working from a brief you will plan and design a kitchen with Howdens extensive range of products, accessories and services within a specification and time frame. Produce and price plans to specification as provided by the Regional Contract Managers Ability to process estimates, understand the demands/requirements/wants/needs of the customer and offer innovative solutions whilst promoting Howdens products and services Flexibility to amend designs to meet customers’ needs and find commercial solutions to challenges Produce 3D designs for the Contract Managers to take customers on a walkthrough video of their kitchen online Personal attributes and skills Proven experience in designing using CAD Excellent customer service skills with the ability to deliver within budget and strict time restraints Commercially astute with an understanding of high volume contract requirements Experience of producing high volume accurate kitchen designs and estimates Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels Experience in producing creative and innovative kitchen designs for a multitude of end-users including commercial, industrial and special needs Strong planning and organisation skills Ability to work in a fast paced environment Self-starter who is flexible, approachable and a team player Howdens deeply value team working and reward our people in line with individual and team success through a competitive package of benefits including; Competitive salary Bonus (profit related) Matched contribution pension scheme Team incentives and outings 24 days holiday, rising to 26 days after 5 years Staff discount on Howdens products Share awards and prize draws Long service awards No Agencies
